“ Talk about a Cubs bar! Visited this gem during a birthday road trip from Chicago for the sisters birthday and we had a great time. The staff was super nice and accommodating. Tony helped make sure we were able to view the Cubs game. The Cubs decor is on another level. Nothing like back in the city of Chicago. And then the cherrry on top was the karaoke Come check out this bar! ”
“ Amazing spot! A go to for all Cubs fans, baseball fans, and Midwest food lovers. Had the rib special which came with two sides, I got tater tots and coleslaw. The iced tea was brewed freshly onsite, it was the best I’ve had in some time. Plenty of TVs everywhere. Came in with family to watch the Cubs and grab a bite to eat. This place screams nostalgia with old photos/memorabilia all around the restaurant from the moment you pull up to when you sit down at your table. This is a staple I will incorporate into my stops when I venture back into Southwest Michigan. ”
“ We arrived when busy for Friday Fish unlimited. Our host was welcoming, our server relaxed and accommodating despite hectic environment, provided set ups, wiped up the table and took drink orders offering water with. Friendly , cute, attentive service. Food delivered hot and done to perfection...just the right amount of coating. Sides tasty and baked potato and fries hot. ”
“ Coming from Grand Rapids on a valentine weekend. What a great find. The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was fantastic. I'm not a cubbies fan but it was sure a lot of fun to go there and see all the work and the art and the effort people put into making this place a realization. It is a for sure stop. Along with the friendly locals. ”
“ Awesome place for a cubs fan! Lots of cool stuff to look at! The food was great, my wife had the Chicago dog and I got the Italian beef! ”
“ We had dinner here on a Saturday evening and a wonderful time was had by all. We had a grilled chicken wrap and the special for the night, prime rib, which was excellent. As a birthday celebration, The Getaway gave us a free dessert! You do have to sign up for that beforehand, but it’s worth every (free) penny to do so. We’ll be back but it just won’t be soon enough. ”
“ I dropped by for a late lunch and was very happy with my meal. The inside is quite comfortable and welcoming, and the staff were equally friendly. The place seems to have regular customers that give it a cheerful atmosphere. The food arrived quickly. I tried the billy goat burger with grilled mushrooms and onions. The burger was excellent; it was juicy with a good balance of flavors. The fries were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside with decent flavor on their own. I’d definitely recommend this bar to anyone looking for a casual meal or drink. ”
“ Kayla was my server for dinner tonight! The service here is always great! The bar has friendly staff and a great Friday night fish fry that starts at 4pm. The atmosphere of this sports bar is very relaxing and welcoming after a long day. They also host karaoke on Friday as well at times. Great place for the atmosphere, food and of course the hard working, friendly staff. ”
